이번 계약으로 두 회사는 엑사원 기반의 사업 경쟁력을 강화할 구체적 협력 구조를 마련했다. LG AI연구원은 노타 기술을 도입해 다양한 산업 현장에서 엑사원의 활용성을 높이고, 노타는 다수의 디바이스 환경에서 엑사원을 지원해 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 확보한다.

엑사원은 자연어와 이미지 등 멀티모달 데이터를 처리하는 LG AI연구원의 초대규모 모델로, 서버부터 온디바이스까지 폭넓은 환경에서 활용 가능한 것이 특징이다. 노타는 프루닝과 양자화 등 경량화 기술을 통해 엑사원의 연산 부담을 줄이고, 교통·산업안전 솔루션 고객군에 엑사원 적용을 확대할 계획이다.

AI model-compression company Nota said Tuesday it has signed a partnership with LG AI Research to commercialize the large language model EXAONE and expand its industrial applications. LG AI Research plans to adopt Nota’s technology to improve the model’s usability across diverse industrial environments, while Nota aims to support EXAONE on multiple device platforms, opening new markets for its solutions.

EXAONE—LG AI Research’s next-generation multimodal large language model—can process natural language and image data simultaneously and is designed to operate efficiently from servers to on-device environments. Nota will apply pruning and quantization techniques to reduce computational load and extend EXAONE’s adoption among clients in transportation, industrial safety, and other sectors.
